Linda and I will set up shop at the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event at The Crucible in Oakland, California this weekend. We always have a great time at The Crucible and this time, being October instead of February it should be a lot warmer than past shows with forecast highs of 67F and 70F for Friday and Saturday. Sounds pretty nice to me; the Bay Area at its finest.
The Crucible is an incredible resource for artisans of all persuasions. From their website:
If you’ve always wanted to weld, work with glass, make jewelry, dance with fire, pour bronze or learn other industrial arts, you’ve found the right place. At The Crucible classes are designed for beginners as well as experienced artists and tradespeople. Our expert instructors introduce technical methods in a format that allows our students to gain practical, working knowledge of material processes.
So come on by and say hi. We’ll have some of our new kits available as well as our new tee shirts and hats. We’ll look forward to seeing you!
